Attempted to flood our forum, made maybe only 100 posts or so, with only two usernames (usernames deleted as well as posts) all gone in like 10 seconds. Good work black hats takes more than 100 posts to bog down a SQL server.

The amount of preparation time it took to do that would have far outweighed the outcome. Board spamming is a hard slog to make much of an impact.

I wonder what may be attempted next, FTP? Probably unlikely considering the FTP server isn't actually at the same address as the domain. And host-wide there are over 200 FTP servers to wade through, with thousands of accounts, this one not descriptive of the domain or users in the slightest.

They can't flood the server and cut the site off from bandwidth usage. Bandwidth is unlimited.

Ah good times, love seeing noobs struggle. seriously short of hacking an admin account I don't see how they can do much to us, anyways I back up the forum database and the templates on my home server daily, so even if they did, within 1 hour I can have the whole forum back up as if nothing had even happened.
